I think it's fascinating how I ebb and flow with posting posts. During October, I was feeling it and posted once a week with more ideas coming on topics I want to write about.
And then I kind of just stop? And I'm not sure why? And so my posts go down to once every other week or once every 3 weeks, even though I'm still sitting on many ideas that I want to become blog posts. And I don't really know why that happens.
Even this post, for example, is a completely separate idea from the several draft ideas that have been sitting there for weeks, or even months. I look at them, and I want to write them, but then I just don't want to. Idk, it's weird.
And so I think posts like this one and the previous post are helpful. They refresh me, I think. Allow me to kind of just write what I'm feeling in the moment about whatever topic I'm thinking about at the time. And it's great. I love writing out my thoughts; I love trying to use words to articulate these concepts that are floating around in my mind.
Wanted to do some more typing tests. I feel like I've been improving recently. And having blog posts sporadically about what my typing speed is has been a thing over the past decade, so I want to continue that.
I'll be using typingtest.com. I'm going to do a easy, medium, and a hard test all with a 2 minute timer. Results below:
Easy: 84wpm with 97% accuracy = 82 wpm
Medium: 79wpm with 100% accuracy = 79 wpm
Hard: 77wpm with 100% accuracy - 77 wpm
The accuracy is allowing backspaces, so I made many mistakes, but I'm allowed to backspace and correct it making the accuracy better.
One downside of using typingtest.com is I've done it quite a bit now, so all the tests are becoming more familiar. I'm going to do a 3 minute test from typing.com as well.
Results 78wpm with 98% accuracy (I'm not sure exactly how this accuracy works).
Neat.
