Card Building

After making my stop motion card building I started messing around with how much weight a structure could take. Here are the results:

The base is made out of bent cards.

I started by putting my mom's kindle on to the structure.

Then, I put on her book, then, some Jenga blocks, then, my sister's laptop.

Next, I put on the last 3 books of Harry Potter on (one at a time).

I noticed it wasn't going to fall any time soon so I got rid of cards until the structure fell.

Political cartoon

At school we had to make a political cartoon about Columbus and other explorers. Here is my creation. I called it Conference of the New World. The people from left to right are (by last name): Champlain, Cortes, Pizarro, Cabot, and Erickson. (By the way, Erickson is putting his leg on a chair in case you were confused. (his name is on his leg))

Whatever We Want

For computers class we had to make a website(ours is kinda like a website). My partner (Brian) and I made this website. As you will be able to tell it had a little inspiration from this blog. Here you go:

Whatever.we.want.

We talk about feelings.

I don't know what to talk about, that matter to you guys.~Brian
It doesn't matter what we talk about. No one cares what we have to say.(except for Mr.Heck)~Alex
Umm politics.~Brian
No politics Brian~Alex
Why don't people CARE about what we talk about.~Brian
No one cares about what we have to say on this blog because we are not presenting this.~Alex
Oh ok.~Brian
Instead we are presenting our Flight Sim.~Alex
The good old days.~Brian
Why are your messages so short but mine are so long.~Alex
Because reasons.~Brian
That doesn't answer my question Brian, I want an answer so we can continue this blog without staying on one topic.~Alex
DAY 2
yawn when will this day be over.~Brian
No capital, wow you really must be tired.~Alex
Just mad i have to wait over 2 hours till schools out.~Brian
Your mad? Why not sad? (Seriously-you didn't capitalize I :P)~Alex
Something, you would not care.~Brian
I propose that we start a segment that we do not use backspace~Alex
backspace?.~Brian
Yes? Yeah backspace... you know.~Alex.
Oh yeah backspace i get it.~Brian
Wow taht was impressive you actually didn't use backespace .~Alex
ho ahaha this is fun>~Brian
Is it really brian (oops forgot to captilaze brian(did it again))~Alex
\So ho was your day alix~Brian
It was good iuntil you spelt my name wrong :P~Alex
My day wass amazing~Brian
I us (oops) just relized how stupid this websit is :P~ALEX
What if we get a A alx~Brain
I willl be very suprised(unless we delete this entire thing and we restart(which we won't))~Sl (oops) Alex
I think it will be ok if we get a B because we both have 100 in this class~Brian.
Very ture(true) but, we should get going on the portfolio real quick.~Alex
KK~Brian
DAY 2-Part 2
We should start getting to a conclusion for this website.~Brian
Yeah, I guess so, I guess we don't have much else to talk about.~Alex
Well...I conclude this website agreed?~Brian
Nope, I want to conclude, agreed?~Alex
NO, I WANT TO CONCLUDE! :P~Brian
Fine *silently pleading to conclude*~Alex
Alrighty then.~Brian
It is concluded.~Alex

Our idea was that we were having a conversation back and forth (as you can probably tell). Also the things that were inspired from my blog are, first off (obviously) is the name and also the part where we were not allowed to use backspace.

Car Wheels on a Gravel Road

For a prompt for a homework assignment we had to write a story about car wheels on a gravel road. And you might realize that the indents aren't all the same this is because the tab button wasn't working for some reason so....here is my paper typed:

"Orin shut the windows, you're letting the dust in," my mom asked.
I didn't want to, I like the smell of dust (it smelled(and tasted) well, dusty), but I had to, thanks to my mom's power. She had the power of influence. I can normally resist a little since her power isn't "You have to do everything I say". But, thanks to my dad sleeping with huge earmuffs on (You'll figure out why he needs them in a little while.) right next to her there was nothing I could do. My dad's power is making other powers stronger. It's really annoying when paired up with my mom.
"Thanks honey. Now don't roll the window down again," my mom told me.
            Man. She thought of everything.
"Mom! Can I get a cheese stick!?" my brother screamed.
Ugh. My younger brother woke up, and thanks to him his twin is also now awake.
"Sure.... here you go. But, please quiet down," my mom told him.
"Wahhh!!!!" wailed Steve (he's a baby).
Ugh. Once again thanks to my brothers the baby is awake.
CRASH!
A small rock just flew through our window. (Since we are on a gravel road.)
             "Orin!" mom yelled.
"I knew what she wanted. I used my power (mine being telekinesis), and with the help of my dad, picked up all the shards of glass in the car and outside the car to reform the window. It wasn't going to last very long and you couldn't see out of it very well but my mom insisted that is was better then dust getting in. The rock through the window thing had already happened to one of our other windows. (Which really stinks because we just got this car)......... O.K. before I, being Orin, go further into my fabulous story let me tell you briefly what is happening. We are off to Super Power City (I don't know why the world called it that either.) This is the place where babies (you remember Steve?) get their super power. For example, I have telekinesis. Another example are my brothers. They (being twins) have the same annoying power of having other super powers not affecting them. This means that what ever chaos they create can't just be simplified by my mom telling them to stop. O.K. back to Super Power City. In order to get there you must travel by car, with your entire family (which is the annoying part) on this long, what seems like never ending, gravel road. O.K. now that I've set the scene a little better let's continue with the story.

*5 minutes have past*

"Mom!" I wailed, "Can't you just tell them to stop!"
My brothers had been constantly jabbing me with their hands. And let me tell you after awhile it starts to HURT!
"Boys can you stop annoying your brother?!" my mom asked.
"Of course we can mom but we aren't going to!" My brothers responded.
            Told you they were annoying.
            "Mom?" I asked.
            "Yes son?" my mom sighed.
"Why did they have to get such a good power?"
Naturally the twins butted in "Because we're awesome!"
"You know your power is almost top tier," my mom told me.
"Well yea, but everyone in this car has a better power then me, for example you can use my power by just telling me to!"

THUMP
CRASH

We had fallen off a big drop and in the process two rocks swooped in. But the funny part was the two rocks hit my brothers hands right before they jabbed me.
             "Ow!" they wailed.
After I fixed the windows I picked up the two dusty, rough rocks. I thought bout how they hit my brothers hands.
             "OF COURSE!" I yelled.
"Orin quiet down. my mother told me.
But I didn't care about being loud thought. I had just figured out how to solve my problem. I can't use my powers to stop the twins, but I can use something else to stop their hands. I waited for them to jab me. Right when they did I raised the rocks to where their hands were going.
             "Ow!" They screamed.
Ah-ha! Now all I have to do is deflect their jabs until we get to Super Power City. And that part won't be hard since I see the city right up ahead.
