Yanny vs Laurel; End of NYLT Writings

Next day: So, my Yanny vs. Laurel story because obviously that's still relevant and not at all not cared about anymore. I first was introduced to it by a WheezyWaiter video (Link?). At some point he plays the audio clip back to back. The first time he played the audio clip I distinctly heard "Yanny", and I'm like "Yeah, that's definitely 'Yanny'". But then, a couple seconds later he played the audio clip again and I clearly heard "Laurel". I thought, "Holy crap, there's no way that's the same audio clip." I went back to relisten to both and heard Laurel both times and it was crazy. A little later I listened to the audio clip again. When I focused and thought about hearing Yanny, I heard Yanny. When I focused and thought about hearing Laurel, I heard Laurel.
I'm basically at the point where I exclusively hear Laurel, now, though. It's weird. I'll have to look up the dress thing
8
and report on that because I forget which I see.
It's so annoying how much food we have to eat. I was stuffed yesterday after dinner and now I'm super hungry.
Saying something is indescribable has always been funny to me because you're describing it by saying it's indescribable.
Later: I'm semi-running into writer's block right now. I mean, I suppose that makes sesne since I've just been writing a while bunch. I really want to type this all up already. I (mostly) haven't reread any of the stuff I've written, so it'll be interesting to read it all again.

Movie Reviews and What I Like in Movies (the basics, at least) (NYLT)

Next day (now with a blue pen!): I think it would be tons of fun if I started reviewing different movies. We watched Apollo 13 last night, which was pretty good. It's amazing how well they pulled it off and made it exciting even though we already know the ending. But I suppose it's useful/good that it's based off a true story/we knew the ending. If you don't know what happened before you watched the movie, the ending would have (probably) been super predictable. Knowing the ending beforehand is (probably) better than having a super predictable ending.
I suppose it being based off a true story makes the movie as a whole. Part of the excitement comes from the fact that it happened and how amazing it is that they survived. You're not watching to know the story (which reminds me of Infinity War and I want to talk about it sometime in the future). You're watching to see the story. You already know the story, you're just watching it to see it in a more detailed exciting cinematic experience.
I guess I'll just talk about Infinity War right now since it's super integrated into this idea in my head. Why did I watch Infinity War? To know what happens. I did not, necessarily, watch it to go watch a good movie. I almost purely watched it to figure out what happens. How it happened didn't matter nearly as much to me. I could expand this topic in several different ways right now and hopefully I can get to them all eventually [how Apollo 13 is the exact opposite; what I care about in a movie now and in the future; expand about Marvel not being that good which ties into (what I care about in a movie); more about Infinity War vs. other Marvel movies; what specific movies I'll watch in the theater/why I don't like movie theaters (I believe I have talked about this in the past)]
7
While Apollo 13 was the exact opposite. I watched it for how the movie makers made it happen, not what happens. This is one reason I think that Infinity War will be ranked solidly on many people Marvel's list, but won't be quite the top. Later, that is. I still think the craziness and impact of it is still too fresh on our minds, which biases the data. The movie experience of Infinity War was just. plain. crazy. But that was the movie experience. In the future, because of the 'what-happensness' instead of the 'how-it-happeness' will cause people, when picking a Marvel movie to watch, to often not pick Infinity War but instead to pick a different Marvel movie as just a solid movie to watch. I'm not sure if what I'm trying to get across makes sense, but it makes sense in my head.
I have more things to talk about regarding movies, but I feel like moving on for now. I'm not sure as to what, but.

MWAHAHAHAHA (Ben's post)

So my cousin Ben made this forever ago. He never finished, but I thought I would publish what was done. If at any point in the future he wants to finish, I'll allow him to. So here's his uncompleted post:

So Alex told me that I could do Whatever I Want so here we go Ben reporting on a few things today is Your boy Thomas's birthday, Rogger Feders's birthday, there was a smash announcement today and a new twenty one pilot song so Yea?, but instead I am going to write about the twenty one best songs (not including twenty one pilots). One of the first songs I thought of was all star by smash mouth this song is so good not just because it is a meme but it has nostalgia to anyone that watched the Digimon movie, The second song that came to mind was the Mii theme because it is a nice calm music and it has a great beat and reminds me of good times in theater class.the third song is The Kim possible theme song It is one of the best TV Theme song ever it has so much energy and makes you want love your life to the fullest. Number four is the greatest Television theme song which is Duck Tales theme I actually watched a video on why this song is so good it is because of the rhythmic slides and the daring adventures it talks about. The fifth song is A Tribe Called Red Electric pow wow it is dub step Native American music and the best description of it is an energy drink in a song. The sixth song is John Denver Leaving On A Jet Plane It is not the most emotional song but it still brings some feelings and it just sounds so good and is my personal favorite of the John Denver's music. The seventh song is Chicago Hard To Say I'm Sorry I'm trying to figure out why this song is so good but it is kind of like the the Mii theme where it is hard know why it is good but it just is so good. The eighth song is Toto Africa this song is good because it goes dododododo dololdolodolo. Number nine is Hank Greens I Know the reason this song is so good because it only has ten words which makes it so simple and complex at the same time. The tenth song is the disatance by cake

3 and a half turns and then back to the beginning except not

So this morning when I wanted to sit down and write a blog post, I was originally planning on tackling a complicated topic, but I decided I wanted some more levity.
I just attempted a few times to give a brief description of the topic, but I realized just how complex it was and how I would need to be extremely careful with how I word things. I don't know. I just want to be careful with it. It dealt with "Influencers". Or something something. That's all you'll get about that for now.

So. Levity (I may be using that word wrong, idk).
Minecraft.
It's quite possibly my favorite video game of all time. Super Smash Brothers Ultimate is the only game challenging it.

You know, change of plans, let's get back to that later maybe. Not sure yet.

It turns out I haven't posted all of my writings from NYLT yet. I still have three more posts ready to be put up from that. So those will come out soon. I only have fond memories of NYLT (National Youth Leadership Training) (except one story that's personal (reminder to those who know about it: It deals with someone taking a tumble)), but I remembered writing those when I was bored or uninterested. The classes were fairly useless. I didn't really learn much. But at the same time I learned a lot? I'm not sure.
I loved NYLT, regardless.
I should probably reread those writings to help me remember exactly what I was feeling.

Is what actually happened or what we remember happening more important?
Because, theoretically, even if I was super uninterested in a lot of what was happening at the camp, the fact that I remember loving it and I remember all the awesome parts is pretty important. Those parts where I really didn't care don't matter to me now.

I've just decided to title my posts from now on without worrying about being slightly deceiving or not accurately representing what exactly is in the post. Titles are hard (as I've talked about many times in the past), so I'm giving myself the liberty to do weird things with them.
For example, this post's title refers to the fact that the topic changed 3 and a half times (It was going to be a complicated topic --> Minecraft --> NYLT --> What we remember --> Talking about titles (talking about what we remember counts as a half of a turn because I say so (plus it still dealt with the previous topic of NYLT))) and then it will be back to Minecraft except not because I decided I didn't want to talk about it over typed words.
To fulfill the title it's back to Minecraft except not:

I'm really excited to make some more memories in Minecraft. Minecraft is the game with the most memories, for me.
I was going to talk all about such and such things dealing with Minecraft, but it's something, I feel, is so much better communicated over the medium of voice. Communicating it over typed words doesn't feel quite right, so I'm not going to.

On the Purpose of Posts

So I'm still, like, thoroughly confused on the purpose of my posts. It is whatever I want. But I'm clearly writing so other people can read it. But what other people? Who's my audience here? What's the purpose of the post I'm about to write? It's for myself, but it's also for others. Without the others does it lose all of its purpose? And if it does, then is it worth writing down? It's similar to a journal, but not quite. A journal meant to be shared with others, at least in my blog's case. It's weird.

It's confusing to the point that I don't know how to fully describe its confusingness. Which is probably common among confusing things, but it applies here. I'll keep talking about it and maybe I'll get somewhere, though.

I don't know why I write posts ever. What's the base desire? I think it might deal with the thrill of sharing something that could be considered personal with whomever.
But, like, I don't really care about the whomever. I care about specific people reading this. I don't care if random people I don't know read this. It's mildly cool, but that's not at all why I post.

Then why don't I just individually message those people? Because this is simultaneously more and less personal than a personal message? I guess it might just deal with the fact that's it's an alternate way to put thoughts into words. It's not necessarily worse or better than other methods of telling people things; it's just different. And that difference has different strengths and weaknesses than the other forms of communication.
And with different strengths and weaknesses, I guess that means it what I said about it not necessarily being worse or better is wrong. Depending on the scenario, making a blog post is better. That's why they are made. If it wasn't better, then the only reason to make a blog post versus something else is to simply have a blog post. Which isn't the worst of all reasons, but is a pretty lackluster reason.

Note: I'm only referring to myself here. I think other people have completely different legitimate reasons to make blog posts that are completely different than mine and totally make sense for them.

New Songs From (New) Places

I mean, they're not really new places, that's why I put the parentheses (and it goes along with the title of "I like (the idea of) you", so it's cool that way). They're just not twenty one pilots who is the band I typically talk about.

Half alive is coming out with a new song at some point. It's called Runaway, I believe. "Arrow" is fairly new, so I'll mention that one.
Tessa Violet just released "I like (the idea of) you", which I've had on repeat this morning. Gosh dang it, I like this song.
Bastille is releasing their third studio album soon. "Joy" (the more recent song out of the two) and "Quarter Past Midnight" are both part of it. Some of the songs will be explicit in this album, fyi.
AJR just released a new album, Neotheater. Some of the songs are explicit in this album, fyi.

I've also been listening to a lot of Billie Eilish, but her music isn't new, just new to me.

I'm consistently surprised by the amount of sounds in the world. Fresh music just continues to be made.

My favorite twenty one pilots list is almost done, I promise.

I'm camping today and I'm excited, even if I'm not really sure what I'm going to do since I won't be fishing (like a lot of other people will be).

I'm heckin' excited about everything right now.
