Car Wheels on a Gravel Road

For a prompt for a homework assignment we had to write a story about car wheels on a gravel road. And you might realize that the indents aren't all the same this is because the tab button wasn't working for some reason so....here is my paper typed:

"Orin shut the windows, you're letting the dust in," my mom asked.
I didn't want to, I like the smell of dust (it smelled(and tasted) well, dusty), but I had to, thanks to my mom's power. She had the power of influence. I can normally resist a little since her power isn't "You have to do everything I say". But, thanks to my dad sleeping with huge earmuffs on (You'll figure out why he needs them in a little while.) right next to her there was nothing I could do. My dad's power is making other powers stronger. It's really annoying when paired up with my mom.
"Thanks honey. Now don't roll the window down again," my mom told me.
            Man. She thought of everything.
"Mom! Can I get a cheese stick!?" my brother screamed.
Ugh. My younger brother woke up, and thanks to him his twin is also now awake.
"Sure.... here you go. But, please quiet down," my mom told him.
"Wahhh!!!!" wailed Steve (he's a baby).
Ugh. Once again thanks to my brothers the baby is awake.
CRASH!
A small rock just flew through our window. (Since we are on a gravel road.)
             "Orin!" mom yelled.
"I knew what she wanted. I used my power (mine being telekinesis), and with the help of my dad, picked up all the shards of glass in the car and outside the car to reform the window. It wasn't going to last very long and you couldn't see out of it very well but my mom insisted that is was better then dust getting in. The rock through the window thing had already happened to one of our other windows. (Which really stinks because we just got this car)......... O.K. before I, being Orin, go further into my fabulous story let me tell you briefly what is happening. We are off to Super Power City (I don't know why the world called it that either.) This is the place where babies (you remember Steve?) get their super power. For example, I have telekinesis. Another example are my brothers. They (being twins) have the same annoying power of having other super powers not affecting them. This means that what ever chaos they create can't just be simplified by my mom telling them to stop. O.K. back to Super Power City. In order to get there you must travel by car, with your entire family (which is the annoying part) on this long, what seems like never ending, gravel road. O.K. now that I've set the scene a little better let's continue with the story.

*5 minutes have past*

"Mom!" I wailed, "Can't you just tell them to stop!"
My brothers had been constantly jabbing me with their hands. And let me tell you after awhile it starts to HURT!
"Boys can you stop annoying your brother?!" my mom asked.
"Of course we can mom but we aren't going to!" My brothers responded.
            Told you they were annoying.
            "Mom?" I asked.
            "Yes son?" my mom sighed.
"Why did they have to get such a good power?"
Naturally the twins butted in "Because we're awesome!"
"You know your power is almost top tier," my mom told me.
"Well yea, but everyone in this car has a better power then me, for example you can use my power by just telling me to!"

THUMP
CRASH

We had fallen off a big drop and in the process two rocks swooped in. But the funny part was the two rocks hit my brothers hands right before they jabbed me.
             "Ow!" they wailed.
After I fixed the windows I picked up the two dusty, rough rocks. I thought bout how they hit my brothers hands.
             "OF COURSE!" I yelled.
"Orin quiet down. my mother told me.
But I didn't care about being loud thought. I had just figured out how to solve my problem. I can't use my powers to stop the twins, but I can use something else to stop their hands. I waited for them to jab me. Right when they did I raised the rocks to where their hands were going.
             "Ow!" They screamed.
Ah-ha! Now all I have to do is deflect their jabs until we get to Super Power City. And that part won't be hard since I see the city right up ahead.

Book talk

I talk a lot about books! So if that is not interesting to you don't read this blog post! (your welcome for telling you)

In case you've noticed there have been some changes to my favorite books and favorite board game's lists. Tzolk'n has taken the lead on my board games list mostly due to that I have only played  that board game for the last while. And the other thing is is that the Beyonders Series has taken 5th place. Really great series but not my favorite. While I'm on the topic of my lists you may have noticed you can't click to go to a article about the thing on either of these items. This is because it's not working the way it use to and I don't know how to do it know. And continuing the topic of books I have been reading the Ender's Game Series. I have also been reading the Shadow's Series (Same series just in Bean's prospective. I have read the first of both and 1.5 and 1.6 of the Ender's Game Series. I stop reading the series to read the third book in the 13th Reality Series. I just got started on that yesterday night and I'm now on page 100. Really enjoying that series so far. I can already tell that that series is going to be in my favorite books list. By the way I only put books (series) on there that I've finished. And if there is only one book than good for them. But that is why you don't see Ender's Game or Ender's Shadow on there yet. Now there is a lot of good books out there that I have not read yet so don't judge me on what I put on there. For example I have not read the Harry Potter series yet. (I'm sorry, OK) I have read Divergent though. Love the plot line but there is just a bit more romance then I like so that's why that series is not on there. Oh, Septimas Heap kinda by passes the read whole series rule. (just so you know). Also there are a lot of great books that I haven't finished reading the series yet. For example Jinx is a great book. But the whole series isn't out yet. The 2nd book is coming out in 2014 (almost there!). You also may have noticed that Savvy got replaced by The Candy Shop War series. Just maybe. The other development has been that the #1 spot might just be taken by the Books Of Umber series. I love that series and I might decide that it's my favorite. (By the way thank you Compton for showing me that series(sorry for probably spelling his name wrong)). Well, I think that's it for this book talk. I might do another one of these in the next 6 or 7 months. One of my favorite things to do is talk about my favorite books. I love suggesting good books to people. Like a few weeks ago(for you, a few days ago for me) I got my friend to read Candy Shop War. And by the way some time I might start doing book reviews. That would be fun. Instead of just telling which is which I can actually tell you what I like about it. But don't worry I'll try and keep away from spoilers. Well, I hope that this post qualifies for a lengthy post that I promised you last week. Huh, just notices that by the time you see this Christmas will have already gone by. Well, Happy Christmas!

Whole 2 months aye?

A whole two months. Wow. Well any way Christmas is almost here. Yippe! By the way a thought just popped in my head: isn't 'any way' one word. Let's check. Anyway. Any-way. Huh, looks like it can be spelled in any of those ways. Another thought is is that shouldn't spelt be a... huh it is a word. So does that mean spelled and spelt mean the same thing. Can you use them interchangeably. Even though I have been working on my typing skills almost everyday in computer class it seems that my speed has gotten a little slower... maybe. It's probably just that I'm writing a blog post instead of words that are already in front of me. Let's test.

*2 minutes later*

Well any way I got a 54 wpm typing speed with 16 errors so I have an adjusted speed of 46 wpm. So since last time I did a typing test and showed you the adjusted wpm comparing it to my new score I got 3 wpm more. Pretty decent improvement. Well in this time period I have gotten an email address. Yeah. But just in case your wondering I'm not switching to a different blog. I'm keeping this one.

P.S. Posting something next Sunday. An actual lengthy post.

Divisibility

Now don't get me wrong I'm not talking about divisibility. Well, I guess I am but not directly. O.K. here is a simpler way to put it. I'm talking about the word not the actual math phrase thing. By now you should have realized the amazingness (I don't care if that's not a word!) of the word. You got it. Well the thing is is that it has 5 i's in the word. 5 of em'! There are many other words like this one of the most amazing spellings of a word is "bookkeeper" you notice something about it. Yep you right it's the only word (I'm pretty sure) that has 3 double letters in it. Pretty awesome all right. Now randomly continuing on with a completely but still the same subject is the word awesome. Why does it have an 'e'? Before whenever I had to describe something awesome I always used the word amazing because I wasn't sure if there was an e. You know I probably could have lengthened both of those posts and made them 2 different ones but who cares it's too late now considering that I have already wroten' a whole entire sentence about it, a lengthy sentence at that.

The video game game

Well here I go again. Talking and talking about ALL the things. Today like always..... sorry that just popped out of my hands.(I don't know either) Any way let's get to our main topic: The video game game. Oh man this game was so good. Me and my cousins created it quite a while ago. I'm going to take you on the tour of how the game has changed, what the game is and why we don't normally play it any more. Well the game started off by Thursday I believe being the day in which video games would fall from the sky and we would play those imaginary video games for 20 min or until we decide it's Thursday again. The process goes on and on. That was pretty fun playing our imaginary games we quickly created in our brain and trying to explain them to each other. But then we took it up a notch. We then were game designers. We made the games. We then explained them to each other and if it sounded cool enough to the other 2 it became a smash hit game that got you lots of imaginary money. But no we didn't for get about the day cycle thing. Wednesday was the day where we would make our own consoles and Thursday we made our own games. The rest of the time we played each others games on our imaginary DS's and Wii's. The next step of course is completely forgetting about the day cycle and instead just making our own games playing the best of them and creating consoles. For example we thought up of consoles that say your motions and there for causing them to be in the game. Last time we played I got the smash game. I called it "Dragon Seize" (I think that's what it was called) well any way it was kinda like an MMO in the sense that you could fight dragons with your friends. It was an RPG game. What was really weird about it was that you could play it on a hand held device. Oh yea, the really fun part about the video game game is that even though where playing the same game we were probably thinking of 2 completely different concepts.
