International TableTop Day Plus Updated Board Game List

I was kind of dying by the end of it, but other than that International TableTop Day was awesome. Did the same thing that we did last time. We woke up at midnight the day of and play all the way through the entire day for a total of 24 hours.

The other time we had several new games (you can read my report of the 2015 International TableTop Day here), which was exciting and kept the day fresh. This year we only had Pandemic Legacy: Season 2 and Signs of Carcosa (which isn't even a full game; just an expansion), but that ended up being fine.

Eric and I pretty boss at Pandemic Season 2, as Eric mention in his post here (might as well plug all the posts). The only games we've lost thus far were with 0 rationing (which means we don't get any cool useful cards in our deck). But, man, did we lose those games. Like, we got crushed. There was nothing we could do. I'm excited to keep playing. We played 6 games, one of those being the prologue.

We played some Avalon. Those games were kind of ridiculous.

Played some Dominion. I'm starting to like Prosperity a lot less now-a-days, which is interesting.

I remade my Fav. Board Game list! I cut out slips of paper with names of all the games and ordered them without reference to my old list (although that doesn't keep me from remembering where some games were place), so I could try to be unbiased. Carcosa (again), and Awesome Week Plans

I know that Eric already mentioned this when he mentioned how I mentioned it, but that I didn’t mention it late enough, so he mentioned it plus mentioning the fact that I mentioned a different thing that I did done mention, butttt, Signs of Carcosa! (Half way through that sentence I just kind of wanted to see how many times I could use the word ‘mention’)

Tomorrow the adapter comes and we get to watch Infinity War. Friday Signs of Carcosa comes and we get to stare at it until Saturday, plus we get to play more Splatoon 2 (hopefully). And Saturday we get to play Pandemic and Eldritch Horror. I’m excited. I don’t know if the way I phrased any of that made it seem that way, but, yeah.

I have two finals next week. I’m definitely not excited for that.

Adapters, Pandemics, Horrors, Legacies, Monies

(The word 'monies' looks so weird)

Welp, I bought another ethernet adapter that will be arriving in a couple days. I really hope this one works. The other one didn’t have a return policy and since it didn’t work that kind of sucked. I know this one will connect to the Switch (the other one didn’t at all), but the question is if it will increase the NAT type. I really really hope it does.

We got Pandemic Legacy: Season 2, as Eric mentioned in his post. I’m excited. I’m excited for Saturday. I just wish that I had more money to get more games. Specifically Eldritch Horror expansions. For some reason that game has been giving me a kick as of recently, and I want to play it more with some new content. (So, the story goes: Eric and I have played 7 or so games of Eldritch as of the past week or so. We’ve lost all but one of them. Yep. We’re apparently trash at that game.)
Speaking of Eldritch Horror giving me a kick recently, I need to update my board game list soon. Normally I’ve been updating lists on the same day that I post something (and I may or may not do that today with the board game list), but I should probably just start doing them on off days too to make it simpler on myself.

I want to play all the legacy games. Gloomhaven is a legacy game? I didn’t know that until the other day. Risk Legacy, Charterstone, Gloomhaven, maybe even replay Pandemic Season 1 or SeaFall.
In order to do that, money is required. (and other things, such as people to play with, but) Which means I want a job. I’m way too busy to get one now, but right as summer starts I’ll get one.

A Deep Breath Except Not Really

I've tried writing something, but I didn't like it any of the times, but basically: I thought I would get to relax, but nope. I still have tons of homework and such.

Isle of Dogs was super amazing, so that's good.

Finally watched Cars 3 on Netflix. It was pretty decent.

Also finally watched Kubo and the Two Strings. It was amazing.

I seriously felt like I had tons more to talk about, but I kind of kept those two things that I was going to talk about super brief, so I don't really have tons more to talk about.

Oh, I could mention that the theory dates for the end of the twenty one pilots hiatus were incorrect, so who knows how long we'll have to wait before we get it. I feel like I want it so much to the point where I have no idea how I'll react when it actually happens. It's kind of like I don't think it will every happen anymore which means that when it does I'll probably freak out whole bunches.

Scout Camp Report pt. 2

So, I didn't have time to finish (or even start) that blog post. I didn't even have time to check if I could play Splatoon 2. It was a busy week at Skills. As I said previously, I'll make a post about it sometime in the near future.

Anyway, 2nd major part of Scout Camp:

Golden Free Trapper:
The previous year I got the Free Trapper, which means that this year I could get the Golden Free Trapper. The Golden Free Trapper is quite a bit more difficult. It has several requirements, just like the Free Trapper.
(Let's see if I can remember them all)
1. Earn Free Trapper in a previous year. I did so.
2. Learn and make some char cloth. This one was pretty simple. I just showed up to a class type thing. Chandler (a super chill dude who earned the Golden Free Trapper with me) also showed up. We learned and did so. It involves cloth and a can with a small hole. You put it in the fire for a long period of time and I might be missing a couple steps in between, but magic happens and you get char cloth. *party popper emoji*
3. Start 3 out of 5 (it might have been 4, but 5 sounds more correct) fires with flint and steel in under 30 seconds each. I'll try to explain out in case that didn't make sense: Each time you try the challenge (which you can do as much as you want), you get 5 attempts. During 3 (or more) of those 5 attempts you must start a fire with the flint and steel (and char cloth. Char cloth is incredibly useful for starting fires) in under 30 seconds. That probably makes sense. This took a while, but once you try it enough you eventually get it without too much difficulty (well, for a person who has had experience with it. It's obviously really difficult if you haven't done it a lot).
The two hardest ones:
4. Stick 25 tomahawks in a row
5. Either split a bullet on an ax head, or split a card with a bullet (I chose to split the bullet on the ax head)
I couldn't get these for the life of me. It was the last day to do these two things, and I was struggling. I had all but given up. Chandler and I were up at the rifle range trying (and failing) again and again at trying to split the bullet. Eventually I decided I would go down and try my hand at tomahawks.
The previous day I had gotten around 21 or so, but couldn't quite get up to the 25 necessary. This time the person manning the tomahawk range told me to just not count at all. Forget about what number I was at entirely. Just keep throwing the tomahawks. He would count for me and tell me when I had hit 25. Once I started doing that, I quickly got 25.
I ran all the way back up to the rifle range. Chandler was still there trying to split the bullet. We celebrated my victory over the tomahawks (he had accomplished it the previous day). It was a guy's turn, then a girl's turn, then my turn, then Chandler's turn, then another random guy's turn. The first guy shot and split the bullet. Everyone was cheering. (Clarification note real quick: Chandler and I were the only youth (well, technically Chandler was an adult at age 18, but), the rest there were adults trying to split the bullet for fun). He said he figured out the secret. You had to shoot slightly to the right of the ax head. Just a smidgen. The girl went up. Split the bullet. I go up. Split the bullet. Chandler goes up. Splits the bullet. The guy after him also split the bullet. Everyone was cheering whole bunches. 5 of us split a bullet right in a row and it was crazy awesome.
Later on in the day during the Seneca Run, I missed the target at the rifle range, like I mentioned. It was at least 10x-15x times thicker than the ax head, so that was ironic that I could hit an ax head, but later missed the much bigger target.

Anyway, yeah, that was the other major thing that happened at Scout Camp. Didn't have enough time this year to get on the archery board thingy like last year, but that's okay.

twenty one pilots's capitalization

So, just a short post that I'm scheduling, so that way you have more content while I'm away. I guess. Not that it really matters because it's not like a youtube channel where consistent posts are, like, abnormally important. But, yay!! Posts!

So, I think that the capitalization of twenty one pilots might be era based. During Vessel, it was basically always with no caps (the way I do it). During Blurryface, people seem to capitalize it if they want to and it doesn't really matter, no one really calls anyone out or anything. I wonder if it will matter during the next era.

Aka: The capitalization doesn't really matter, but it still may be slightly more correct to not capitalize (so I'm going to continue doing that plus it's basically habit at this point), but if you prefer to capitalize it, that's perfectly acceptable.

Hopefully I'll Finish This Tomorrow

It's getting kind of late (it's 8 and I still need to pack), so I'm putting this as a placeholder and will hopefully finish this tomorrow. I'm still going to schedule it, though, so if it gets posts, it gets posts and I'll do the 2nd major thing of Scout Camp after I get back from Skills.

Scout Camp Report Pt. 1 (since I sadly apparently never reported on it)

Skills is, like, tomorrow (well, today, since I'm posting this tomorrow). Still have yet to start packing. Well, I guess that's not entirely true because I started to pack by first washing my clothes (they're still washing). I also went to the Jamieson's to pick up the Switch, so that could also be considered as packing. We always bring the Switch on trips when we're staying at a hotel because it might have good enough wifi/NAT type to run Splatoon 2. If it does, I may or may not be playing for a while after curfew when everybody is required to be in their beds.
Because of Skills there probably won't be a post until we get back. But maybe I'll make one while I'm there just because. We'll see.
I'll make sure to post about what happened etc. afterwards (¿afterward? Idk).

Speaking of reporting on stuff, I never reported on my second year at scout camp. I think. I'm pretty sure. Wait, now that I think about it I feel like I totally did. I'll go look.
 Reporting back: I don't think I did. Which kind of stinks because my first report on camp was a high quality post. It's been too long to duplicate that; I've forgotten too many details.

But, major parts:

I won the cussing Seneca Run!! Yeet! It was fantastic, and since that was (probably) my last year going, I'm super glad. I stuck all three tomahawks (10 points).
I ran over and started the fire within the time (10 points).
I ran up the hill, followed proper procedures, but missed the target at the black powder (5 points).
Ran to the other side of the hill to archery. I had actually practiced a recurve bow this year, so instead of whiffing like I did in the previous year, I got a solid 7 points.
I ran to the capture the flag area and quickly got across (9 points).
I went to the water area. Earlier in the day, I failed my swim test (because I can't do stupid front stroke, only back stroke, but for the test you have to do 3 things of front stroke and only 1 thing of back stroke. If it had been 3 things of back stroke and 1 thing of front, I would have been able to do it), so I could only do procedure parts for a max of 8 points. The other two points came from actually crossing the river using the correct stroke. I helped a kid get his boat into the water, though, so the lady (I've sadly forgotten her name, but she was chill) gave me an extra point for that. (So, 9 points in total).
I ran all the way around the lake (since I couldn't cross it in the boat) and all the way to the finish line. I had the fourth or fifth rock, I think? And I was the first to finish. That means I passed everyone in front of me up, which felt pretty good. I got one point for every person I beat, and I think there were 10 people this year. So, 10 more points.

I got 60 points in total (out of 70). Yeah, boiii. Sad story of the day (but also happy story because it's super cool that we both won, #go2ndWard), Nathaniel, who was staff that year and competed in the staff competition, won his competition (well, tied for first) with a total of 62 points. He beat me by 2 points and it was sad. I wish I had just hit that target for the extra 5 points, so I could've beat him out. But we both won! And that is super cool!

We both got the necklace thing that I might randomly put up a picture of later. Mine was originally Diego's. He was hoping to keep it, but due to the tie, he graciously gave up his to fulfill the extra. And he gave it to me. And that's super cool because he's super cool and I took two (I'm pretty sure two) of his classes, so we got to become chill and I'm a proud owner of his necklace thing.

That was longer than expected. So, I guess I'll type up the other major part as a separate post and schedule that for Wednesday to provide extra content while I'm gone because why not.

(And, ay! I'm 16 and a half on the day that I'm posting this. Happy half birthday to me (in fact, I might as well post this at the same minute that I was born. Happy half birthminute to me!))

Quick Feelings on Showers

I mentioned it in that one post, so I'm finally going to post about it.
Showers are annoying. Often. But other times they are extremely nice.
I hate the constant nagging of the fact that I should take a shower just about every day. I find the amount of them annoying. Like eating. We have to eat so much food. All of the time. But in shower's case, it's more about the time that it takes to do so. With eating, I do it anyway. There's typically a time set apart each day that is dedicated to eating something. That's fine (even if it feels like it's a lot of eating). But for showers that time doesn't exist. I have to make time out of my day in order to shower. I sometimes find myself approaching bed time and then discovering that I still have yet to take a shower. It's annoying, especially when I have lots of other things I need to be doing.

But, they can also be really enjoyable when I do have the time. Middle of a Saturday or Sunday is the typically example of this. I decide I want to take a shower. So I go take a shower. But I can just sit there and enjoy the warmth and the cleanliness. When I need to be doing 5, 10, or 20 other things, I get in and get out and it's annoying that I had to spend time doing that in the first place. But when I can just take the moment to relax, then it's enjoyable.

It's also really nice in the morning (once again, when I have time. With Seminary I don't really have that option unless I want to wake up even earlier, so I typically take showers at night) to start off your day with nice water. If I'm even in the mood, cold (or at least not warm) water is a nice option. (I'm not sure if he still does this, but I know Ryan always likes to take cold showers)

I never really know how to end blog posts. I'm typically just like "Yep." or something like that, but eh. Maybe I could start reviewing my blog posts at the end of each blog post or something like that. Give my brief thoughts about the blog post as a whole at the end of it. Kind of like what I did in the previous post about how I didn't really feel motivated to talk about the subject. Sure, let's try for at least this one since I'm in the mood.

This blog post I think is a nice quicker read type dealio. Just a little thing to learn something about me, but nothing to impressive or intriguing. Doesn't have too much of my writing personality. For example, it doesn't have any parenthesis in parenthesis, but that doesn't make the blog post bad. I like it overall. I'm glad I made it and that I'm posting it. Introduced some interesting topics about things that I seem to constantly need to be doing, which could open the doorway for other posts, so that's nice. Since it's quick and isn't too important, I don't feel the need to read it over, so that's also nice. I like this end review type part. I think it's a fun random twist that's here for no real reason, but it's something that doesn't really need a reason to exist in the first place.

Semi-Bland Post About Overwatch

So forever ago, Eric said that I would explain stuff about this one thing on his blog post, so I'm going to.
Basically I saw that he was online and I clicked the join game button and there happened to be an open spot on his team, so I joined it. Yep.

Anyway, I suppose I should talk about the game some. When I first got this game, I played a lot of it. Whole bunches. I suppose I could go look up stats on it, but we'll see if I'm lazy by the end of typing this post. To the point were people (a couple members of mi familia) said that I was addicted. I said they were wrong. And, ay, guess I was right (random note that's not random: it's a pet peeve of mine when people say other people are addicted to stuff and such). I stopped playing it a while ago. I just hit level 101 (I am now 103), so I got my first star, so it was a good stopping point. I jumped on every once in a while, but then after a couple updates it quit working. Yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled it and now it's working again, so that's nice. I plan to play every once in a while, but overall I've lost interest. I definitely got my value out of it (especially since I only bought it for 20 bucks because of a half price sale).

I suppose I should talk more about the game than just that.
I play supports. Moira, mostly. Sometimes Mercy. Sometimes Lucio. When I absolutely need to I am capable of playing Soldier 76.

Meh. I'm not feeling to motivated to write more about this subject, so I'm going to go write about others. It's a great game. Lots of fun. Definitely plan to play it some more. Yep. Guess that's it. This post feels lackluster, but meh, it's made. I guess I'll go look up some stats to make it more interesting.

I have played a total of 89 hours, 19 of which are as Mercy, 15 as Soldier, 12 as Moira, 9 as Lucio, 6 as Junkrat, 5 as Zenyatta, 4 as McCree, 3 as Roadhog, 3 as Pharah, and an hour or less with all the others. I'm mid to low gold rank in competitive. I love snipers, even though I really really suck with them.
Oo, here are a couple more fun stats: I have dealt a total of 2,154,275 damage and healed a total of 2,602,007 health points.

Sorry for the kind of boring post. Eric might find it interesting, at least, since he actually knows/plays the game and such.

The End of the Hiatus

No, not the twenty one pilots hiatus. My hiatus of making blog posts. Although the theories going around right now suggest that their hiatus should end in a couple weeks or so and I'm so ready. I've been read for 6 or so months now. But now it looks like it's finally going to happen. The signs are adding up and, please, I really hope I'm not wrong here. I might cry if nothing gets announced this month.

There's orange juice randomly on the table, so I'm going to go get a cup of that. I don't know why you needed to know that. Still don't know if orange juice is my favorite juice or if apple juice is.
Anyway, back to what I was going to talk about.

It's Spring Break. Well, it's coming to a close now, but it still is Spring Break. And, as such, I finally had time to write blog posts. Except I didn't (but I am now, so it's all good). I decided that for Andrew's birthday, since I don't really have much to offer him in terms of normal gifts, I would make some blog posts. But then I didn't (his birthday was on the 2nd). And I'm like, "Welp."
But then Ryan's birthday came along and it was my second chance. Ryan's birthday was yesterday. As you probably noticed there was no post yesterday.

But, hey, that's okay. Because now I'm making some blog posts. And, man, let me just tell you that it feels so good to type.
I guess this is all you get for today? I'll be posting for several days in a row, though, so you don't have to long to wait before you get another post. I have many ideas for posts. Some of them I'm pretty sure none of you will care about, but that's fine. Maybe you'll enjoy reading those posts simply because of my writing personality (is that even a thing? I feel like it totally is.).   (Random note: I really need to come up with rules on how periods and such work with my parenthesis because I use them different every time and I want it to be more consistent)
